UC Santa Barbara is renewing its Long Range Development Plan (LRDP), a plan that details how the campus will develop to the year 2025. The draft LRDP and accompanying Environmental Impact Report (EIR) were released for public review in March, 2008. A public hearing on the plan was held on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at the Isla Vista Theater, and public comment closed on June 23, 2008. University officials and environmental consultants are reviewing comments and questions received during the public comment period and preparing responses. Responses to the comments will be incorporated into the Final LRDP and EIR. Those documents are anticipated to be available in Fall of 2008 and will be available on this Web site. The LRDP and Final EIR will be subject to review and approval by the UC Board of Regents and the California Coastal Commission.
This Web site provides a resource for copies of documents and other information important to the LRDP process. If you need additional information, please contact us via email at info@UCSBVision2025.com.
